We are experts in helping people enjoy Lake Placid and all it has to offer as well as getting people outdoors in the Adirondacks! We have a great location—right in the heart of downtown in walking distance of Lake Placid Main Street shops and restaurants, the Olympic skating oval, and Mirror Lake. It is the perfect place for families, groups, and teams; book now for fun, events, exercise, adventure or training and feel like a local. At High Peaks we have three houses total—the Basecamp Lodge, High Peaks House, and Guide House. NOTE TO BIG GROUPS: We are able to house up to 34 people total between all three houses (with 10 bedrooms and 5 baths total)—great for larger groups and teams! Our Guide House is a single story rental located on the second floor upstairs from our Guide Service with three bedrooms sleeping up to ten people. Each bedroom has two comfy bunk beds with double futons as the bottom bunks. The Guide House hosts a full kitchen, dinette, a large bathroom, and living room—all newly renovated with nice leather and wood furniture. Next door above our shop there is a large fitness and yoga studio with an additional full bathroom if needed for larger groups. Base rates: between $200-350/night depending on season and days of visit (midweek/weekend). Our High Peaks House is the largest of our three houses; with two stories, four bedrooms, and six bunk beds the High Peaks house sleeps up to twelve. Two of the bedrooms host one bunk bed with a full bottom bunk, while the third bedroom serves as the larger 'bunk room' with three bunk beds. The house has 1.5 baths, a large gear room, laundry facilities, and a large, comfortable kitchen, bar and living area. Base rates: between $200-350/night depending on season and days of visit (midweek/weekend). Our Basecamp Lodge is our newest house, one story with three large bedrooms sleeping up to 12 people, with three bunks in one room, two bunks in the second room and one bunk in the third bedroom. All three bedrooms are located off of the large living room and kitchen area with beautiful wood and leather furniture. The house has two full baths and a laundry room. Base rates: between $250-400/night depending on season and days of visit (midweek/weekend). All houses include the following amenities: free Wifi, cable TV and DVD player, as well as a microwave, dishwasher, oven/stove, and large refrigerator. Our Basecamp Lodge has a private deck with a BBQ grill, while our High Peaks House and Guide House share a large deck with a BBQ grill, all three with great views of the High Peaks mountains! We also offer our wax room and bike storage for skiers and bikers, as well as free access to our fitness/yoga studio and rock climbing gym to our guests. We have a meeting space on the first floor of our Guide House for rental as well. Our outdoor retail store, High Peaks Cyclery, and guide service are located right on the property, with opportunities to rent gear (bikes, canoes and kayaks, skis and snowshoes), go on one of our guided trips, or find Adirondack travel information.
